Operational Engineer for Software and Electronics in Engine Support
Everllence
From engines in service to insight, improvement, and innovation
Are you curious by nature and energized by complex technical challenges? Do you enjoy taking initiative, following tasks through, and working closely with people across functions – and beyond our own organization?
In Engine Support – Software & Electronics (ELUS), we work with engine control system software, hardware and electronic components, as well as data from real world operation. Our work spans planning and executing software updates, troubleshooting domain related operational issues, testing and validation of new software features, and developing tools and platforms that support engine operation in the field.
We are looking for an open minded engineer who is eager to learn, not afraid to ask questions, and motivated by understanding how things really work – from technical details to customer context. Someone with structured approach to problem solving who can communicate clearly with both experts and non‑experts, and is comfortable working with data, documentation, and real‑world system behavior.
In ELUS, you will play an important role in supporting and advancing engine control system in real world operation by ensuring that the software, parameters, hardware, and tools function reliably in service – and that experience from the field is translated into learning, improvements, and validated solutions.
In this role you:
- Support and collaborate with our customers – licensees, ships in service, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve solutions through investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Plan, test, and validate ECS software updates, parameters, and electronic components in service and our research center
- Feed operational experience and findings back into development, design, testing, and process improvements, taking part in maturing the product
- Document findings, communicate recommendations, and help create shared understanding across disciplines
We aim for a fair and inclusive recruitment process. Regardless of gender, age, religion, disability, or ethnic background, we encourage you to apply. We embrace a global mindset and intercultural environment to ensure a collaborative and inclusive workplace. If you need support, such as assistive tools for dyslexia, we can assist you with that.
Relocating to Denmark? We support you with a mobility package, including help with CPR registration, tax, and work permits.

Welcome to ELUS
In ELUS, we work with control software, hardware, and electronic components for large marine two stroke engines in real world operation. We bring operational experience back into the organization and bridge the gap between engines in service and product learning, troubleshooting, and improvement.
We imagine that you are someone who:
- Has a master’s or higher degree in Mechanical, Electrical or similar engineering disciplines
- Is motivated by understanding how complex systems work in practice
- Takes responsibility and contribute with initiative
- Thrives in collaboration across disciplines and interfaces
- Remains effective when direction or priorities shift
- Brings relevant experience working with 2-stroke engines (this is an advantage but strong curiosity to build the knowledge is equally valuable)
- Communicates clearly and works comfortably with both technical and customer-facing stakeholders
- Has a structured approach to troubleshooting, documentation, and data interpretation
- Is comfortable with working hands-on with hardware, testing setups, and practical validation
Your day to day work will naturally vary – from focused technical deep dives into engine control system and data to collaborative discussions where you help turn operational experience into shared understanding and improvement.
Application deadline: Apply no later than 1. April 2026
