This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will strengthen maintainability, improve engineering practices, and modernize systems incrementally while ensuring predictable delivery of professional software used by hearing care professionals. Working closely with R&D teams and internal stakeholders, you will help evolve production systems, improve development workflows, and enable reliable, high-quality releases in a quality-focused environment.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and contribute directly to system design and implementation
• Drive incremental modernization across architecture, tooling, automation, and build/release workflows
• Improve system maintainability through pragmatic standards, documentation, and targeted refactoring
• Strengthen quality and release readiness through effective test strategies and early risk visibility
• Improve engineering effectiveness by optimizing CI/CD pipelines, build stability, and developer feedback loops
• Mentor engineers and foster knowledge sharing to reduce single-person dependencies and strengthen team resilience
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across R&D and production/service teams to manage dependencies and align priorities
• Contribute to areas such as fitting workflows for hearing care professionals, diagnostics and service tooling, firmware and AI image update flows, and developer enablement initiatives

What you bring

Experience

• Demonstrate senior engineering experience (e.g., Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Technical Lead)
• Maintain and evolve production systems, including balancing legacy environments with modernization efforts
• Apply strong judgment when balancing system stability, maintainability, and delivery
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, build and release tooling, or test automation practices
• Operate in quality-focused environments where reliability and risk reduction are critical
• Fluency (both written and verbal) in English, Danish is a plus.
