Build a new product from the ground up

We are forming a new cross functional product team in Copenhagen and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us. You will work closely with a Product Manager, a Design Lead, and a Senior Software Engineer who leads through building, coaching, and technical direction.

You’ll be part of a small team designing, building, and operating a new mobile first CPR training product for hospitals in Europe – modernizing how clinical teams train and stay prepared. With international growth ahead, your technical decisions and craftsmanship will shape both the product and the engineering culture.

This role is well suited for a senior engineer who enjoys ownership, product thinking, and working across the stack – from mobile UI to backend services – while staying close to real users and real‑world impact as part of a team that enjoys continuous product discovery.

About the role

You will join the team at an early stage, with significant influence on technical foundations, engineering practices, and how we build high‑quality software. The product includes mobile apps, web applications, and backend services that integrate with Laerdal’s CPR training stations and shared platform capabilities.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Copenhagen, Stavanger, and US teams, contributing to a larger ecosystem for learners, customers, and analytics.

What you will do

  • Take technical ownership of key parts of the product
  • Design, build, and maintain mobile applications, web applications and backend services
  • Contribute to and shape web applications built with React
  • Develop, integrate, and evolve backend services and APIs in C#
  • Translate real user needs into robust, scalable solutions in collaboration with product and design
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and the longterm technical direction
  • Write clean, maintainable, and welltested code
  • Contribute to a modern CI/CD pipeline and reliable production operations
  • Use AIassisted development tools where they create real value – pragmatically and responsibly
  • React Native & React
  • C# backend services
  • Databricks & analytics tooling
  • API‑driven integrations with internal and external services

You don’t need to be an expert in all areas – you should be comfortable working across the stack and eager to learn what you don’t yet know.

Qualifications

  • Have 5+ years of experience building production software as a fullstack engineer with significant mobile experience
  • Are comfortable working independently across React and React Native and C# codebases
  • Have experience contributing to backend services and API design
  • Care deeply about usability, quality, and real user impact
  • Enjoy close collaboration with designers and product managers
  • Are comfortable owning and operating software in production
  • Are curious about AI‑assisted development and modern engineering practices
  • Value in‑person collaboration with your product team
  • Have relevant higher education or equivalent practical experience
